Conduct legal research and develop case strategies across employer defense, med mal, and municipal disputes. Draft complaints, answers, dispositive motions, briefs, and appellate papers. Take and defend depositions; prepare witnesses; argue motions; try cases and handle arbitrations/mediations. Manage discovery (e-discovery, privilege reviews, expert coordination) and case budgets. Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel; collaborate with senior attorneys and staff to drive efficient outcomes. Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school; strong academic record. Michigan Bar required (or ability to gain admission promptly). 5+ years of litigation experience with meaningful deposition, motion practice, and courtroom work. Background in employment law, medical malpractice defense, and/or municipal law preferred. Excellent writing, advocacy, organization, and technology skills; ability to manage a busy docket.
