Latitude is seeking experienced employment law attorneys for a long-term contract engagement with a California-based boutique law firm. This opportunity is ideal for attorneys who thrive in a collaborative, innovative environment and are looking to escape the demanding billable hour requirements of traditional law firms. Basic Requirements for the California Employment Attorney: 3+ years of experience advising employers on federal, state, and local employment law matters with a strong emphasis on California labor and employment issues. Responsibilities include reviewing corporate onboarding documentation, advising on compliance and exemption classifications, and drafting or revising workplace policies and employee handbooks. Preferred candidates will have prior experience in the labor and employment practice group of a large law firm, a highly regarded employment law boutique, or a major corporate legal department. 3+ years of experience in employment law and employment litigation Experience reviewing onboarding documents, issue spotting compliance, exemption analysis, policy and handbook revisions Excellent academic credentials from an ABA-accredited law school Strong analytical, written, verbal and interpersonal skills Licensed to practice law in California Outstanding professional references Position Details
Type of role: Contract Counsel Schedule: Part-time (10-20+ hours/week) Location: Remote (California Bar License) Compensation and Benefits
Compensation: The annualized pay ranges from $150,000 to $200,000+ on a full-time basis. Contract pay is based on factors including experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market conditions, and candidate preference. Benefits: Group medical, dental, vision insurance; group life, LTD and AD&D insurance; 401(k) plan; CLE and Professional Expense stipend. Confidentiality
