Dog Enrichment Counselor
to supervise pooches in daycare, participate in enrichment activities, and ensure the safety of the playgroup. This position offers a competitive wage and benefits in a fun, positive animal care environment.
Location: 60625
Salary: $17 per hour
Job Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
Lead enrichment activities as directed by the coordinator and supervise playgroups.
Observe dogs during activities and report on their conduct and safety.
Ensure equipment and obstacles are secure and that dogs are not overly stressed.
Use praise and redirection techniques to maintain appropriate play levels.
Perform cleaning and organizing tasks to maintain a tidy facility.
Qualifications
Work experience in providing animal care
Ability to get dogs to respond to training cues
Basic understanding of positive reinforcement in training
Ability to perform physical requirements, including the capacity to lift up to 25 pounds
A high school diploma or the equivalent is preferred
