Overview As Consumer Data and Analytics Leader, you will play a strategic role within First Horizon Bank’s consumer banking division, acting as a trusted subject matter expert for data-driven decision making. You will partner closely with retail banking, small business and digital leadership and associates to translate complex data into actionable insights, driving initiatives that support our client experience, business growth, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Lead efforts to design, develop, and optimize business intelligence solutions that support retail banking strategies, including client segmentation, product performance, and branch network optimization.
Serve as a primary resource for data interpretation and analytics, guiding associates and senior leadership in understanding key client and operational trends, as well as Change Management.
Oversee the development of robust dashboards, advanced analytics models, and self-service reporting tools using Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or other recommended platforms.
Collaborate cross-functionally with technology, finance, and retail teams to gather requirements, ensure data integrity, and validate analytical outcomes.
Lead data analysts and associates, providing guidance on best practices, project prioritization, and technical skill development.
Present analytical findings and recommendations to executive leadership, supporting business-case development for new initiatives and investments.
Lead change management within the consumer banking group.
Contribute to the creation and management of data governance frameworks to assure compliance with relevant regulations and standards regarding client information.
Monitor emerging analytics technologies and consumer banking trends, proposing enhancements that align with First Horizon’s strategic objectives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in Data Analytics, Mathematics, Finance, Business, or related fields.
Minimum 7+ years of professional experience in data analytics, preferably within retail banking or financial services.
Demonstrable expertise in advanced analytics, business intelligence, data visualization, and statistical modeling.
Proficiency in SQL, Excel, Power BI, and/or Tableau; experience with Python or R is a plus.
Proven ability to communicate complex data-driven insights and solutions to non-technical associates and executive leadership.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to maintaining high standards for data accuracy and client privacy.
Prior experience mentoring or supervising analytics professionals is a plus.
