Overview
We are seeking an experienced ISO Quality Assurance Engineer with a strong quality engineering background in ISO standards and applicability to mass production and design processes. The Quality Engineer will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to improve product quality and increase customer satisfaction. This is an on-site role based in San Diego, and only candidates located in San Diego will be considered. Duties and Responsibilities
Quality Management Systems: Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949 Plan and lead internal audit program and compliance with QSM Manage CAR process Supplier/Subcontractor Quality Management: Vendor qualification and audit process Quality process: 8D, 4M reports, CPK, RMA QA control plans Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement: Prepare and present reports on quality metrics and improvement Risk analysis and liability analysis Cross-Functional Collaboration: Focus Quake team on process improvements, manufacturability of the product quality Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field. Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in ISO 9001 and 14000 as well as quality for design and manufacturing experience. Proven experience with quality control techniques and industry best practices. Technical Skills: Strong experience in quality management systems (QMS), such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or similar. Hands-on experience with FMEA, RCA, and implementing corrective actions. Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma methodologies, and statistical process control (SPC). Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Attention to detail and a proactive approach. Certifications: ISO9001 Lead Quality Auditor, Certified Quality Engineer, or similar. Familiarity with CE, FCC, RoHS standards.
