Senior Staff GPU Validation and Emulation Engineer – Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. Role: Senior Staff GPU Validation and Emulation Engineer. Location: San Diego, CA (as indicated by job postings). Responsibilities

Synthesize Verilog RTL and create models, compiling them to emulators (e.g., Veloce, Palladium, Zebu) and/or FPGA platforms. Develop hardware emulator implementations with emphasis on design partitioning, synthesis, place and route, timing analysis, and runtime performance. Drive debug for emulator failures; collaborate with designers and software driver teams on test plans and debugging. Collaborate with tool vendors to improve area/performance of synthesized RTL on FPGA platforms. Work on third-party IP integration and system-level debugging. Perform system-level RTL simulation and design verification. Support chip bring-up and post-silicon debug. Debug functional and timing models. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field with 6+ years of software/hardware engineering, systems engineering, or related experience. Or Master’s degree with 5+ years of related experience. Or PhD with 4+ years of related experience. Preferred Qualifications

8+ years of hands-on experience in emulation/simulation acceleration/FPGA. 8+ years in design validation, post-silicon debug, and creating high-performance, area-efficient emulation environments from RTL. Hands-on experience with emulator platforms (Palladium, ZeBu, Veloce) or FPGA systems based on Xilinx/Altera FPGAs. 8+ years in emulator methodologies (in-circuit emulation, hybrid systems, or simulation acceleration). Desirable Skills

MS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; 8 years of practical experience. Design verification knowledge – UVM/SystemVerilog preferred. Knowledge of GPU/CPU/DDR/Bus; Verilog and SystemVerilog experience. Debugging system-level software and RTL; programming in C/C++. Scripting in Python, Tcl, or Perl. Knowledge of vendor emulation tools and synthesis tools (Xilinx/other). Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range: $195,200.00 – $292,800.00. Qualcomm notes that salary is one component of total compensation, which may include discretionary bonuses and RSU grants. A comprehensive benefits package is offered. Recruiter can discuss details. Additional Information
