LMI seeks a Financial Analyst with public-sector experience to support a federal program management office in Washington, D.C. Join our team of collaborative self-starters focused on delivering practical and efficient solutions to help our client keep U.S. borders safe and facilitate travel and trade. As part of our high-performing team, you will augment our vital work to provide “eyes and ears” technology to protect our nation. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a CBP Background Investigation (BI) is required; active CBP BI preferred.

Supports budget formulation for the client’s programs by compiling estimated costs in the required categories and creating alternative versions to fit specified scenarios Collaborates with program staff to develop resource allocation plans (RAPs) and congressional justifications (CJs) Provides analysis and data to ensure program budgets align with strategic and programmatic goals and adhere to fiscal guidance and DHS and federal government budget policy Understands the acquisition process (preparing / reviewing of Statement of Work, preparing cost estimates, compiling market research and completing acquisition documents) Creates purchase requisitions in SAP Maintains program and contractor cost baselines Develops, reviews, and implements project-level spend plans, and conducts recurring reviews of program resource utilization to identify issues that might affect the program’s overall objectives Prepares periodic reports on the allocation, status, tracking, commitment, obligation, and expenditure of funds Prepares and processes funding documents, identifies program funding variances, recommends appropriate reprogramming actions or corrective actions, and reports reconciled status of funds Qualifications

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting, business, management, or a related discipline 3–10 years of financial management experience Experience working with financial management software and tools such as SAP and INVEST Ability to communicate clearly with a variety of stakeholders Ability to demonstrate initiative and effectively solve problems Strong communication skills, both oral and written A true team player who maintains a positive attitude in a dynamic environment Ability to pass a government background investigation, including financial, criminal, residential, educational, foreign affiliation, prohibited substance abuse, and employment verifications Preferred

Active U.S. Customs and Border Protection background investigation is a significant plus Previous work formulating or executing CBP budgets Relevant certification such as Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint; skills in advanced Excel techniques including pivot tables, macros, and validation look-ups Salary

Target salary range: $75,000 - $128,000. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to your skills, experience, education, and/or certifications. The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation. Individual salaries are determined by location, internal equity, business considerations, client contract requirements, and candidate qualifications, such as education, experience, skills, and security clearances.
