Digital and Model-Based Engineer, Mid at Booz Allen Hamilton International (U.K.) Ltd. The opportunity focuses on integrating technical skills with big picture thinking to impact Digital Engineering (DE) and Unmanned Maritime Systems, translating real-world needs into technical specifications to deliver customer-focused engineering solutions. Responsibilities
As a systems engineer on the team, you will support the implementation of a DE strategy for the customer. You will work closely with working group leads, shipbuilders, and other program stakeholders to accomplish several tasks. You will support the development of a DE environment and federated model framework consisting of model-based engineering (MBE) capabilities such as digital requirements, digital threads, various modeling and simulation tools, and modeling standards and methods. Additionally, you will support the implementation of authoritative sources of truth concepts, including a digital artifacts structure, access and Configuration Management policies, PLM tool, and zero-trust architecture. You will also support the establishment of common engineering processes, policies, and tools across the program. 3+ years of experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and using digital engineering tools in support of DoD acquisition programs Experience architecting solutions to meet requirements and use cases to be applied within the systems engineering lifecycle Experience using SysML and UAF modeling languages Knowledge of MBE capabilities such as Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Requirements Modeling, Digital Thread, Digital Twin, and Modeling and Simulation Ability to work in a customer-facing role, including technical writing for customer-deliverable documents Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary, dynamic team environment, including internal staff, external contractors, and government clients Secret clearance Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering Nice If You Have Experience establishing DE tools in a cloud environment Experience establishing and managing authoritative knowledge sources Experience executing organizational Digital Transformation for engineering and business practices and processes Experience with the overall DoD acquisition lifecycle, including DoDI 5000.91, and the DoD DE Strategy, including DoDI 5000.97 Knowledge of configuration management, risk management, cybersecurity, and cyber certification processes Knowledge of Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) design principles and technologies, DoD architecture standards and framework, and Agile systems engineering methods and tools Master's degree in Systems Engineering or a related field INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or Object Management Group (OMG) Certified System Modeling Language Professional (OCSMP) Model Builder Level 2 Certification Clearance Secret clearance is required; applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
