Power Electronics Engineer, Senior to Principal Location:
Austin, TX USA / Salary / On-site A key enabler of Stormentum’s mission is our engineering team’s ability to design and deliver new inverter technology for home energy storage and solar power conversion. Stormentum seeks a Power Electronics Engineer (Senior to Principal level) to lead the design, simulation, prototyping, and testing of inverter hardware and related systems. As an early member of a small, fast-moving company, you will work across disciplines, from circuit design and control systems to firmware integration and compliance testing. This role provides the opportunity to make a direct impact on our product roadmap and on the clean energy transition.
Responsibilities
Design, simulate, and test circuits and systems for inverter hardware Build prototypes and perform experimental verification of hardware designs Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across design, test, and deployment phases Collaborate with cross-functional teams on firmware integration and control systems
Qualifications
BS, MS, and/or PhD in electrical engineering Experienced in design, simulation, test, and troubleshooting of power electronics Familiarity with writing and debugging firmware, particularly in C Familiarity with applicable codes and standards and UL certification Specific experience in batteries, solar power, and/or DC-AC inverters Control systems applied to power converters
Estimated base salary range: $125,000 - $200,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications Equity:
Stock options commensurate with qualifications Discretionary Time Off
