The Special Projects Group at KPFF is growing, and we are seeking a motivated, collaborative entry-level Civil Engineer to join our Seattle, WA team. You will work on projects that matter, from sustainable port facilities to habitat restoration, and you will be surrounded by mentors who invest in your growth and a supportive team that values fresh perspectives and innovative thinking. Responsibilities

Structural Design and Development:

Apply engineering knowledge to diverse projects, collaborating with teams to devise innovative solutions for ports, harbors, marinas, floating structures, and ferry terminals. Contribute to waterfront and industrial developments, leveraging skills to drive successful outcomes in these areas. Enhance problem-solving skills using traditional and modern engineering techniques to overcome challenges. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. Master’s degree in civil engineering (structural focused). Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred. Willingness to work on a variety of projects. Concrete, steel, and timber coursework. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills. Work Environment and Physical Demands

Duties are primarily in a standard office setting with periods of desk work. Occasional lifting up to 15 lbs. Field inspections at project locations may involve walking, standing, kneeling, or navigating uneven terrain. Travel to project sites or client meetings may involve driving or flying. The base salary is competitive and based on experience, education, and skills. For candidates with 0-3 years of experience, the expected range is $83,000–$100,000. Performance-based bonuses are offered, and detailed compensation information will be provided during the interview process. About KPFF Special Projects Division
