role at

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute . Overview

The Center for Immuno-Oncology (CIO) of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) is seeking a research scientist to join the Tissue Biomarker Laboratory (TBL). The laboratory develops and implements spatial analyses to study the tumor immune microenvironment in biopsies from patients undergoing immunotherapy treatments. The TBL carries out multiplex immunofluorescence workflows using Akoya and Lunaphore platforms and performs computational analyses to interpret these data. Research is highly collaborative with investigators across DFCI Disease Centers and other institutions to address experimental questions, often aiming to identify biomarkers of response or resistance to immunotherapy using spatial biology analyses. The CIO/TBL is part of NIH-sponsored Cancer Immune Monitoring and Analysis Center and has contributed to numerous publications over the past years. Located in Boston, Dana-Farber is a leader in cancer research and patient care. We strive to create an inclusive, diverse, and equitable environment and design programs to promote public health, particularly among high-risk and underserved populations. Responsibilities

Initiate and manage research projects, oversee data collection and analysis, and work with the Principal Scientist and Faculty Director to prepare manuscripts and research proposals. Collaborate on studies involving histopathology staff, research technicians, biomedical researchers, pathologists, clinicians, bioinformaticians, and data scientists. Coordinate with teams and manage technicians as part of research activities. Qualifications

PhD in a biomedical-related discipline (e.g., immunology, biomedical engineering, cancer biology). Experience in quantitative microscopy or computational data analysis is preferred. About the Organization and Equal Opportunity

At Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, we work to create an innovative, caring, and inclusive environment where every patient, family, and staff member feels they belong. We are committed to diversifying our faculty and staff and to hiring the most dedicated and diverse professionals.
