The team is seeking a dynamic Assistant Director of Human Resources to help lead the HR team in creating a positive culture aligned with Hilton values. What the ideal candidate will possess: Five years of Human Resources management experience required. Advanced knowledge of, and at least two years of experience in, Labor Relations required. Labor Relations experience should include investigations, grievances, arbitration, mediation and union requests for information. Working knowledge of EEO, benefits and leave laws required. Hospitality experience preferred. Legal background preferred. The salary range for this position is $90,000-$120,000. What will I be doing?
Manage labor relations, including investigations, counseling/disciplining employees, and resolving grievances in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement; handle all steps of the grievance and arbitration process. Serve on the hotel’s negotiating committee during union contract negotiations; perform research, costing and other supportive tasks related to negotiations and other labor relations matters. Serve as a Board of Trustee for the Union/Hotel Trust Funds. Assist the Director in directing and administering the Human Resources function to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Manage and supervise the daily activities of the HR department. Oversee recruiting, training and development, wage/benefit administration, compliance with statutory requirements, team member relations, performance evaluations, workers compensation and safety, employment processes and leadership support. Facilitate meetings, monitor and develop team member performance, provide supervision and professional development, and deliver recognition and rewards. Ensure Affirmative Action Plan compliance. Manage the team member relations program (events, communications, promotions, etc.). Oversee function of the team member data management system. Recruit, interview and train team members. Assist in the preparation of HR-related reports. Act in the absence of the Director. Lead the hotel quality initiative, as needed. What are we looking for?
