Overview
We’re seeking a highly motivated Patent Agent or Associate with a strong background in chemistry or molecular biology to join our growing Intellectual Property practice. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with attorneys, clients, and inventors in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. As a key member of our IP team, you’ll support biotech and pharmaceutical clients by preparing and prosecuting U.S. and international patent applications, performing strategic portfolio analysis, and advising on patentability, infringement, and freedom-to-operate issues. Responsibilities include: Drafting high-quality patent applications and responding to USPTO office actions Conducting prior art, FTO, and patent landscape analyses Collaborating directly with clients and inventors to align IP strategy with business goals Coordinating with foreign counsel for global prosecution efforts Staying current with patent law developments and emerging technologies What We’re Looking For
Advanced degree in chemistry or related life sciences; biology backgrounds considered with relevant experience Admission to practice before the USPTO Minimum of 3 years of patent prosecution experience in the therapeutics space Solid understanding of patent strategy for life science companies Experience with portfolio management, client counseling, and FTO analysis is preferred Exceptional writing, analytical, and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive, cross-functional team Why Join Us?
