The Opportunity Do you want to use your analysis skills to help the Navy get the most out of its funding? When it comes to considering the costs of building and maintaining systems, you know there is more to it than parts and labor. That\'s why we need you, a cost analyst who can turn requirements into a complete financial understanding for the Navy.
Responsibilities
Translate requirements into cost through data collection, model building, and cost and risk analyses.
Develop recommendations that will impact how hundreds of millions of dollars are invested throughout the project\'s life cycle.
Identify cost data to be collected, develop data collection plans, and review draft work breakdown structures (WBSs) and cost reporting plans.
Extract data about the technology and performance of submarine communications systems and undersea integration systems through discussions with SMEs, engineers, and project managers.
Derive meaning from raw numbers using data science techniques such as normalizing data, regression analysis, and learning curve analysis.
Model with dynamic formulas in Microsoft Excel and quantify cost uncertainty with Monte Carlo simulations; communicate findings through data visualization to program managers and senior leadership.
Develop total ownership cost estimates to assist planning and fielding of systems on time.
Qualifications You Have
2+ years of experience with cost estimating, cost analysis, or financial analysis
Experience with data collection and analysis
Experience with government acquisition and supporting major milestones
Knowledge of core competencies, including life cycle cost model development and WBS
Secret clearance
Bachelor\'s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics
Nice If You Have
Experience with the manufacturing process flow
Experience with management and business development
Ability to multitask and work under minimal supervision
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Leadership, teamwork, and collaboration skills
ICEAA Certified Cost Estimator and Analyst (CCE/A) Certification
Clearance Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
Compensation Salary is determined by location, education, knowledge, skills, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
