Overview
Analyst, Policy role at Utah SHRM. Location: Alexandria, VA. Compensation: $75,000 to $92,500 per year.

Position details: Hybrid Position (3 days in-office, 2 days remote). In-office days are Tuesday through Thursday; other days may vary by team needs.
Responsibilities
Review and draft policy-related documents, including position statements, testimony, and other advocacy materials.
Monitor and analyze legislative activity and advise on policy positions and advocacy strategies.
Provide advice and recommendations on policy positions and potential impacts of proposed policies; collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Represent SHRM by attending external meetings, hearings, and events and effectively communicate SHRM’s positions.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Law (JD), Economics, or a related field. Experience with related education is noted in the original description.
Proficiency in utilizing government resources and internal tools for research. Ability to effectively leverage AI tools where appropriate.
Collaborative mindset with excellent written and verbal communication skills for conveying policy information to diverse audiences.
Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting and computer use; occasional handling of documents and office equipment.
Environment Work environment includes a hybrid schedule with in-office days and remote days as described above.
