Research Scientist -- Investigational Innovation & Quality Location: Evanston, IL Full Time Hours: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM4:30 PM, onsite Base pay range: $42.54/hr - $65.94/hr What You Will Do

Contribute to and direct scholarly efforts toward supporting the goals of research within Investigational Innovation, which is the research arm of the innovation team at Endeavor Health. Independent Research & Publication: Lead and execute independent research projects in Investigational Innovation, including AI, digital health and other innovative solutions in medical and data-driven technologies, aiming to produce 46 high-quality peer-reviewed publications annually with the support of a larger team (investigational innovation, innovation, informatics and data analytics teams). This includes experimental design, data analysis, interpretation of results, and manuscript preparation. Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the PI to develop and refine the team's research strategy, identifying novel research avenues and key areas for investigation within AI, digital health, and quality improvement domains. Research & Manuscript Opportunity Identification: Proactively identify and prioritize research and manuscript opportunities, ensuring alignment with team goals and broader organizational objectives. Grant Funding & External Collaboration: Actively seek external grant funding opportunities to support ongoing and future research initiatives and foster collaborations with external partners in academia and industry. Conference Presentations: Prepare and deliver presentations of research findings at national conferences to enhance visibility and impact. Mentorship & Team Support: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing research environment. Strong stakeholder communication and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills are essential due to the implementation-focused nature of this role. Methodology & Quality: Contribute to the development and implementation of applied methodologies for robust AI, digital health, and quality assurance processes within research projects, including piloting new technologies in clinical settings and supporting change management. Innovation & Problem Solving: Apply advanced AI techniques to solve complex scientific challenges with a focus on practical applications. Manage grants and projects where the candidate serves as Principal Investigator, including supervision of research personnel as needed. Design and perform complex research methods appropriate for specific research endeavors. What You Will Need

Education: PhD or MD required. Disciplines encouraged include public health, implementation science, psychology, health services research, or behavioral medicine. Certification: Has held a faculty appointment at the Assistant Professor level for a minimum of 3 years, or currently holds an Associate Professor rank. Preferred, but not required. Experience: At least 12 years of postdoctoral experience; has applied for independent research funding as Principal Investigator. Skills: Contributes to 46 peer-reviewed publications per year; may be primary or senior author on some publications. Expected to provide research development consultation and mentorship for others on the Investigational Innovation team, contribute to internal research education programs, facilitate dissemination of findings, and provide scientific peer review for internal or external grants. Demonstrated familiarity with AI methodologies (e.g., machine learning, NLP, computer vision, predictive analytics). Deep technical expertise is not required, but collaboration on AI implementation in applied or clinical contexts is important. Benefits
