Direct and participate in the planning, organization, conduct, and interpretation of animal research according to regulations, protocols, standards and guidelines such as USDA, FDA, GLP, and GCP. Be responsible for monitoring studies and providing updates to Sponsors and management. Ensure that employees perform the study according to protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). What You ll Do Here

Serve as Study Director (SD) and participate in research projects including, but not limited to, protocol development, preparation and administration of test article, collecting and processing samples or tissues from animals, reporting, etc. Plan an outline of research procedures to be followed during the course of the experiment. Write protocols and reports, review study schedules, and communicate with clients regarding updates, amendments, deviations, and study results. Provide your supervisor with timely updates on any study issues. Assist in ensuring that personnel allocated to performing research activities have a clear understanding of the research protocol, activities to be performed, and are properly trained to conduct the procedures. Monitor the study to ensure all activities are conducted according to the study schedule and data are accurately recorded. Utilize appropriate sources of information (the internet, archives, government agencies, etc.) to collect, record, and analyze information useful for the research projects. Prepare study reports, communicate with Sponsors, and contribute to publications in scientific journals, submissions to regulatory agencies, or for use in further research activities. All other duties as assigned. What You ll Need To Succeed

Ph.D. or M.S. in biology, toxicology, or related life sciences fields A BS/BA in a relevant field (e.g. Animal Science, Biology, or related field) with a minimum of two years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience Strong written and verbal communication skills What We Offer
