Systems Engineer

We are looking for systems engineers with experience in this field to help design and manage the next generation of Anduril's flight vehicles. What You'll Do Design networking solutions that enable secure operations Derive system/subsystem/component level requirements Design, develop, and maintain system components that meet functional and performance requirements in complex system environments Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the reliability, scalability, and resilience of software applications, especially within a distributed systems context Work closely with hardware engineers and product managers to ensure seamless integration of software and hardware components Collaborate with the team to define and document software engineering processes and practices, ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements Ensure the baseline design is compliant with Cybersecurity requirements while maintaining system functionality Generate system design documentation containing information demonstrating the system's compliance with Cybersecurity requirements Collaborate with the System Security Engineering team to ensure systems are authorized for test and operations Required Qualifications A passion for systems development, integration, and testing 5+ years of industry experience including but not limited to systems engineering or networks Proficiency in test script development using common languages (Python, Matlab etc) Understanding of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process used by the Department of Defense to ensure the Cybersecurity of systems and obtain approvals to test and operate systems Ability to implement Secure Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) configuration settings within the system Ability to identify and mitigate/remediate Cybersecurity vulnerabilities within the system Understanding of how the von Neumann architecture, OSI 7 layer model, and software stacks are used in a system's design Understanding of how Cryptography is used to ensure Cybersecurity within the system Ability to apply critical thought in understanding how a system works and where design improvements can increase the Cybersecurity posture of a system's design without negatively impacting functionality Ability to effectively communicate Cybersecurity subject material and concepts to technical and non-technical audiences Excellent verbal & written communication skills A sincere commitment to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative culture Must hold a U.S. Secret security clearance Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. Top Secret security clearance Ability to travel up to 25% as needed for test planning and execution US salary range $154,000 - $231,000 USD. The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
