This new position will provide comprehensive grants management services for two or three clients in partnership with other VGA team members. Key features Based at our downtown Omaha office, this position offers work-from-home flexibility most days. Periodic in-person presence at our office and at client locations is required. We are open to discussing a commitment of three-quarters to full-time (30 to 40 hours weekly). Competitive pay based on experience: $75,000 to $95,000 for a full-time position, prorated for a three-quarters position. Benefits include health, vision, dental, life insurance, IRA match, cell phone stipend, free parking, and paid time off. While grants management is our core service, we also provide services in the areas of organizational development, strategic planning, sustainability audits, capital campaigns, development operations, email and direct mail campaigns, and nonprofit formation. We would welcome expertise in these areas and other fundraising strategies. Responsibilities Create persuasive grant applications, proposals, and reports for a full range of funding opportunities local and national foundations, corporate sponsors, and local, state, and federal government agencies. Develop fundraising strategies for program, operating, and capital needs. Manage calendars of grant and report deadlines. Conduct background research to support grant proposals. Prospect for new donors and advise in qualification and cultivation. Advise nonprofits in measuring and reporting outcomes. Advise on donor stewardship and other communications. Organize and communicate budget information. Lead grants and fundraising meetings with clients. Uphold ethical standards and client confidentiality. Qualifications Five years of grants management experience. Impeccable written communication skills. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Experience in managing multiple deadlines. Basic understanding of audits, Form 990s, and budgets. Experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Google Workspace. Experience with Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) systems is a plus. Membership in the Grant Professionals Association or other fundraising groups is a plus.
