REQUISITION TITLE: ASSOCIATE REGULATORY ANALYST, Description LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY TO SAN FRANCISCO/BAY AREA (Remote during SIP. Once SIP is lifted candidate will be required to be on-site in SF full time) Personal phone use required during remote work. With prior approval from manager a pre-determined amount of phone expense can be submitted for reimbursement. TOP THREE: 1) Some project management experience 2) Strong communication skills 3) Strong organization skills POSITION SUMMARY The Associate Regulatory Analyst assists with case management, reporting, and/or analytical support for regulatory filings. RESPONSIBILITIES Regulatory Filing and Reporting. Assist in the preparation of testimony, supporting work papers, and discovery responses that advocate the Company's ratemaking, business or policy proposals in regulatory proceedings. Assist in implementing regulatory decisions, including tariffs, billing and accounting changes, through working with representatives from Regulatory Relations and other departments. Assist in designing and implementing new tariffs or programs in response to regulatory decisions or business initiatives. Represents CIient in public when required, primarily on administrative issues, communicating Client's positions clearly and effectively. Provide case management duties for CPUC proceedings. QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS BA/BS in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering or related discipline; MBA/MA/MS desired. This is an entry level position requiring 0 to 2 years of regulatory experience. A recent college graduate would qualify for this position. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Basic understanding of the regulatory environment. Skilled in using MS Word and Excel. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent analytical skills. Good project management skills. Additional specific knowledge and abilities may be required for particular positions.
