DevOps Engineer | Powering Scalable Investment Infrastructure This role focuses on building and maintaining scalable, reliable infrastructure and tooling to support a private markets platform used by wealth advisors, family offices, and accredited investors. Base pay
$140,000.00/yr - $175,000.00/yr Responsibilities
Continuous improvement of monitoring and observability capabilities. Collaborate with the engineering team to optimize software delivery for scale, performance, and cost. Continuously monitor, log, and alert using tools like NewRelic and Sentry to ensure high uptime and preemptive issue resolution. Engage in system reliability efforts including Sentry, application log monitoring, system availability, and performance monitoring. Design, set up, and manage new and existing CI/CD pipelines in GitLab. Lead Kubernetes and ECS orchestration initiatives for containerization and deployment. Manage and optimize AWS cloud resources with emphasis on performance, security, and cost-effectiveness. Implement and maintain infrastructure as code solutions using Terraform or Pulumi. Apply security best practices across infrastructure and deployments. Create and maintain internal tooling and processes to improve efficiency. Design, improve, and maintain internal developer tooling (local environments, CLI utilities, automation scripts) to boost developer productivity and experience. Qualifications
Must Haves 5-8 years of DevOps experience in a senior role. Proven experience with AWS services and infrastructure as code. Advanced skills in application health triage, diagnosing issues via logs, alerts, and forensic data. Hands-on experience with Grafana for monitoring and observability. General experience with other monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, Sentry, Splunk, Sumo Logic, etc.). Passion for system reliability and application performance monitoring and troubleshooting. Strong experience building and supporting full-stack internal tools with JavaScript/TypeScript or equivalent. Fundamental knowledge of networking, security, and database management in cloud settings. Solid experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines, ideally in GitLab. Solid experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration. Proficiency in scripting with Bash or an equivalent language. Strong written and oral communication skills with a proactive problem-solving attitude. Remote work experience and effective communication on Slack or equivalent. Fundamental understanding of DevSecOps practices. Experience working in an Agile environment. Nice to Have Certifications in AWS, Kubernetes, or Docker.
