Associate General Counsel
who will focus primarily on government contracts and commercial transactions in a technology-based business. The successful candidate will work with all levels of the Company in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the company’s core values of delivering excellence, pushing boundaries, and empowering people. Responsibilities
Draft and negotiate a wide variety of contracts, including complex sales and services agreements, technology agreements, and distribution/dealer agreements that comply with Company policies and risk tolerance. Provide advice to all levels of the Company in operations, business development, finance, and engineering on legal issues, risks, deal structures, negotiation strategy, and company policies and procedures, using business-friendly legal concepts. Assist with corporate governance and compliance matters. Assist in other transactions and matters including employment issues and export compliance. Perform other duties as assigned. Develop relationships with team members built on trust and respect. Education and Work Experience
Juris Doctorate degree or equivalent with excellent academic credentials. Minimum 5-8 years of experience. Skills
Demonstrated experience advising clients in structuring complex commercial transactions, including contract negotiation and drafting. Excellent administrative and organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage several projects under deadline pressure. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written; able to ask clear, concise questions involving complex technology to obtain requisite answers. Ability to take initiative and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong written communication, collaboration, initiative, and prioritization skills. Trustworthy judgment and analytical problem-solving skills; effective execution and decision making; champion of change and innovation. Physical Demands
Able to frequently sit, stand, walk, use hands to fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, and crouch; talk and hear. Regularly required to sit for extended periods; operate standard office equipment. Able to lift and/or move up to 10-50 pounds as needed. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Additional Requirements
U.S. Citizenship Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time. Note: Many of TrellisWare's positions require a security clearance or the ability to obtain one. Security clearances may be granted only to U.S. citizens. Applicants may be subject to government security investigations and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. TrellisWare Technologies pays competitively according to market standards and location, with posted ranges varying by geography. The pay range for this position is: $160,000-220,000 annually (San Diego, CA area). Disclaimer:
