This is a hybrid role based in the San Francisco, CA office with onsite expectations of 2-3 days per week.
Responsibilities
Define and execute the IT strategy, aligning technology investments with organizational priorities and scaling needs.
Partner with senior leadership to evaluate and adopt emerging technologies that enhance workforce productivity and enterprise resilience.
Oversee IT Service Management for a fully remote and hybrid workforce spanning multiple global regions.
Establish KPIs and SLAs, ensuring reliable, secure, and frictionless employee experiences.
Collaborate with HR, Security, Legal, and Compliance to ensure IT practices exceed industry standards.
Oversee risk management, business continuity planning (BCP), and incident response readiness.
Lead, mentor, and grow a distributed global IT team into a strategic, business-aligned function.
Cultivate a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Oversee lifecycle management of IT infrastructure, SaaS ecosystem, and workplace technologies.
Negotiate, manage, and optimize vendor partnerships to deliver both cost efficiency and service innovation.
What You Bring To Komodo Health (required)
7+ years of IT leadership experience with at least 3 years at the senior manager or director level, overseeing distributed global teams.
Proven ability to build and execute IT roadmaps that balance short-term service excellence with long-term enterprise scalability.
Deep expertise in enterprise IT management: SaaS ecosystems (Google Workspace, Office 365, Okta, Slack, Atlassian, Zoom), endpoint management (Mac/Windows), and cloud services (AWS).
Strong track record in security, risk, and compliance, with experience supporting SOC 2, HIPAA, or equivalent frameworks.
Demonstrated success in change management and organizational transformation, driving adoption of new platforms and practices.
Business fluency: ability to communicate IT strategy and performance metrics to C-level stakeholders, bridging technical and non-technical audiences.
A track record of vendor management and contract negotiation at scale.
High EQ and strong people leadership skills, with a proven ability to build diverse, engaged, and high-performing teams.
Expected AI Use in this role
Leverage AI-driven IT service automation (chatbots, predictive analytics) to improve incident response, resolution times, and employee experience.
Partner with business leaders to evaluate and scale enterprise AI workplace solutions, ensuring governance, data privacy, and measurable productivity gains.
Additional skills and experience (nice to have)
Familiarity with AI-driven IT operations, automation, or observability platforms.
Prior experience leading IT through high-growth scaling environments.
Compensation and Benefits The pay range for this role reflects a minimum and maximum annual base pay in the US, with consideration for location, skills, and experience. Starting base pay is listed below and may be eligible for bonuses and equity. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k) with company match; life and disability insurance; and paid time off in accordance with policy.
San Francisco Bay Area and New York City:
$182,000—$230,000 USD
All Other US Locations:
$158,000—$195,000 USD
The company may offer additional compensation such as performance-based bonuses and equity awards, per company policy.
