Piper Companies is seeking a XDR Automation Consultant to join a premier cybersecurity organization. The XDR Consultant will function as the Cortex Technical Lead and Palo Alto Networks Solutions Subject Matter Expert (SME). This job opens for applications on 5/9/2025, and applications will be accepted for at least 30 days from the posting date. Responsibilities of the XDR Automation Consultant include: Deploy and configure XDR across customer environments, including endpoints and cloud environments. Tune and optimize endpoint agents to maximize security effectiveness while minimizing operational impact. Assist in building policies based on machine learning and behavioral analytics. Analyze logs and events generated by XDR to identify, investigate, and mitigate security incidents. Communicate and lead effectively in a crisis situation with all levels of a customer's organization. Qualifications for the XDR Automation Consultant include: 5+ years in a technical consulting or engineering role. Experience deploying and managing XDR platforms, expertise in endpoint agent deployment and configuration. Strong understanding of endpoint security technologies, such as firewalls, antivirus, anti-malware, and endpoint protection platforms. Demonstrated skills with Python. Ability to analyze logs and events generated by XDR to detect and respond to security incidents. Preferred Qualifications: CISSP Palo Alto Networks Certification - PCDRA Public Cloud Certification Compensation: Hourly Rate: $60-70/hr W2.
