Position Overview:
Outside sales role focusing on Employee Benefits. Responsible for driving new business, client retention, and growing revenue from existing clients. Manage client relationships, ensuring profitability, satisfaction, and organic growth. Responsibilities: Achieve annual new business sales of $200k in target companies with 200-2,000 employees. Retain at least 92% of business year over year with support from leadership and account management. Meet activity and appointment quality goals for new business. Use USI resources to research prospects and develop tailored messaging. Explain USI’s competitive advantages to clients and prospects. Develop and execute sales plans and prospecting strategies. Innovate solutions for clients using market knowledge and technical insurance expertise. Participate in national and regional meetings and video calls. Prepare for appointments, advancing, closing, and retaining business. Utilize USI’s CRM and sales tools for data entry, sales support, and revenue forecasting. Engage in industry training and sales programs. Identify cross-selling opportunities to strengthen client relationships. Collaborate with account management on key client services. Maintain strong knowledge of competitors. Represent USI at meetings, seminars, trade shows, and networking events. Qualifications and Skills: 3+ years of successful sales experience in insurance brokerage. College degree preferred. Life and Health insurance license required. Deep knowledge of Employee Benefits. Personable, motivated, goal-oriented, with strong communication and negotiation skills. Excellent organizational and follow-up skills. Consultative approach with prospects and clients. Strong presence within HR and benefits communities. Excellent listening skills and customer focus. Ability to engage with senior management and demonstrate executive presence. Why USI?
