Job Overview:

As a Construction Site Technician, you will be a key on-site team member responsible for supporting the daily operations of our commercial construction excavation projects. This hands-on role involves working closely with and assisting the on-site superintendent or site manager with site prep, equipment handling and ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project plans and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with site preparation and layout per project drawings and instructions

Ability to operate and maintain construction tools (e.g., saws, drills, concrete saws, generators)

Ability to operate and maintain construction equipment (e.g., skid steers and other excavation equipment)

General knowledge of dirt work, excavation, grading, demolition, concrete, formwork.

Perform demolition, concrete cutting, trenching, hauling, and basic carpentry

Support subcontractors and crews by staging materials, cleaning work areas, and ensuring site readiness

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications under supervision

Ability to read grading plans, and grade stakes.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times

Ensure compliance with company safety protocols and OSHA regulations

Communicate effectively with superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors

Assist with punch list items, job closeout, and final inspections

Log daily site activities and materials used, as needed

Additional task assigned by the supervisor or project manager to support the success of the job site and project.

Qualifications:

1+ year of experience in commercial construction or relatedfield

Able to travel within the State of Texas

Strong work ethic with the ability to follow instructions and take initiative

Basic knowledge of construction processes, tools, and safety standards

Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in outdoor environments and varying conditions

Comfortable using technology (e.g., tablets or mobile apps for timekeeping or documentation)

Reliable transportation and a valid drivers license

OSHA 10 or 30 certification (or willingness to obtain)
