1. Directs, monitors, and assesses needs and manages resources of an administrative University office responsible for one or more major functional areas.
2. Implements solutions to routine and complex problems affecting multiple functional areas.
3. Participates in long-term planning of University activities to align with institutional goals.
4. Establishes and enforces university-wide policies across various functional areas.
5. Ensures compliance of policies and procedures with federal, state, and local laws.
6. Develops and monitors goals for managerial and professional staff in line with University strategies.
7. Oversees a staff of exempt and non-exempt employees.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Exceptional organizational, supervisory, managerial, and project management skills; experience managing multiple complex projects, organizing workloads, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines. Proficiency in computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases; knowledge of budgeting, planning, and audit processes. Experience with US GAAP accounting and financial reporting, applying financial, accounting, and economic concepts. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate, facilitate groups, and build consensus. Ability to work effectively in team settings and promote team concepts.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree, CPA certification, experience in Facilities, Construction, or Information Technology organizations, higher education, and familiarity with Workday Financial Software, Trinity Unity Construct, or similar capital project management software. Minimum Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in a related field with eight years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
