Professional Liability Coverage Attorney – Chambers-Ranked Practice
About the Position: Our client, a sophisticated Chicago law firm with one of the largest insurer-side practices in the United States, is seeking a lawyer (with 4+ years of experience) to join its Professional Liability Coverage practice as an associate or counsel, depending on level of experience. This robust practice handles a wide variety of insurance coverage claims, including environmental and mass tort litigation, professional liability, bad faith, employment-related matters, unfair competition, public entity liability, construction defect claims, and transportation accidents. Highlights: · Chambers-ranked practice · Collaborative and dynamic group of attorneys · Excellent firm culture · Respectful work/life balance Responsibilities: · Represent insurers in complex coverage cases and coverage disputes related to professional liability policies, including directors and officer liability, errors and omissions, employment practices liability, fiduciary liability, and healthcare liability · Represent insurers in connection with disputes involving commercial general liability, auto, first party property, and cyber policies · Handle all aspects of cases/disputes, from initial coverage analysis through litigation and arbitration Required Qualifications: · 4 or more years of experience representing insurance carriers in complex disputes related to management liability, professional liability, commercial general liability, and property coverages · Strong research and writing skills Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid) Compensation: The anticipated base salary range for this position is $160,000+.
