Assistant Merchant

Assistant Merchant , you will assist a Merchant in all aspects of developing a customer-focused product assortment to deliver on J.Jill's financial goals. You will manage the product assortment from design concept through customer facing readiness utilizing our merchandising tool system. Communication skills are essential as the Assistant Merchant shares the assortment with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of product status. You'll also work with the Merchant in driving the business through in-season management, assessment and reaction to current trends. Responsibilities
Assist the Merchant in development of merchandise framework, as well as editing and adopting the line to meet strategic business needs Create and maintain seasonal assortments ensuring product information accuracy. Share with cross functional partners and communicates changes throughout the merchandising process Assist in pulling weekly sales results and preparing for business reviews with management and cross functional teams. Contribute to identifying and communicating what is working and what is not Pull analysis of sales data to inform departmental and product decisions Conduct research to understand competitive landscape. Identify and present relevant findings Collect and share customer feedback from frequent J.Jill store visits, communication with field team, and analysis of online reviews Benefits

Retail merchandising or apparel retail experience; or internship experience for recent college grads Detail oriented with strong organizational skills Exceptional communication skills (written and oral) Proficient in Excel and understanding of retail math Demonstrate a strong sense of fashion with an understanding of current and upcoming trends relevant to the customer College degree About Us
