About the Position:
This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. Cyber Command, Liaison Branch.
Duties
Help
Serve as the Senior Critical Infrastructure Sector Cyberspace Liaison Officer to a U.S. Government partner agency. Represent USCYBERCOM in the negotiation, deconfliction, definition, implementation, and analysis of cyberspace program policy. Work with Command and partner agency counterparts to identify and implement processes to support the agency in its mission to protect critical infrastructure. Requirements

Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Three year trial/probationary period may be required. The employee may be recalled to duty, may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays, and may be required to work overtime. Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military and/or commercial aircraft. The employee must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET SCI clearance as a condition of employment and must complete a counterintelligence scope polygraph exam. This position is a testing designated position (TDP) in accordance with (IAW) Drug Free Federal Workplace Program. See "Additional Information" for full details. The employee must meet NSA personnel security requirements outlined in NSA/CSS Policy 5-1. The employee must obtain and maintain the requirements for each Cyber work role (except Data, AI, and/or Software Engineering) at the assigned proficiency level. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by one year of 1) contributing to strategic and operational planning for collaboration with external partners; 2) providing insight and functional expertise in cyberspace planning and operations; and 3) providing authoritative interpretations of regulations and high-level policy directives.
This position is in the Professional Work Category at the Expert Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure.

If you are a current federal career/career-conditional employee, you will be placed on an excepted appointment. Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. Direct Deposit of Pay is required. This position is a testing designated position (TDP) in accordance with (IAW) Drug Free Federal Workplace Program. As a precondition and continuing condition of employment, the incumbent of this position must, IAW Chapter 5, section II, paragraphs 5-8b and 5-8c(4) of AR 600-85 (The Army Substance Abuse Program) and DA PAM 600-85 (Army Substance Abuse Program Civilian Services), Chapter 3, paragraphs 3-2e and f agree to submit urinalysis testing on a recurring basis. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
