Compensation structure: Get paid per mile, per stop, and per case unloaded. Your responsibilities as a Class A Delivery Driver: Perform inspections of the tractor-trailer for defects before and after trips and complete a DOT inspection report. Verify the accuracy of the bill of lading and store keys during off-hour deliveries. Drive the tractor-trailer to designated locations, adhering to commercial driving regulations while skillfully maneuvering the vehicle. Maintain a driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) in compliance with DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipts, product temperatures, and any exceptions. Unload the trailer and deliver products into our customers' locations. Perform additional duties as required. Qualifications to succeed as a Class A Driver: Minimum age of 21 years. Possession of a valid Class A commercial drivers license (CDL-A). At least one year or 50,000 verifiable miles of experience driving a tractor-trailer. Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications. Ability to read, write, and understand English proficiently to ensure safe and effective job performance.
