We are seeking a
VoIP Network Engineer
to support and optimize our enterprise Unified Communications platforms. This role will focus on Cisco and Mitel VoIP environments, including call manager clusters, collaboration platforms, and branch telephony. You will play a key role in ensuring high-quality, secure, and reliable voice and video services for both corporate and distributed offices. Candidates must demonstrate strong expertise with VoIP systems running across Cisco network infrastructure. Responsibilities Design, configure, and maintain
Cisco CUCM, Unity, Jabber, WebEx, and Mitel PBX systems . Support SIP trunking, PSTN gateways, SBCs, and voicemail integrations. Implement and optimize dial plans, call routing, and extension provisioning. Troubleshoot VoIP performance issues (QoS, jitter, latency, packet loss). Integrate voice services with Teams, Zoom, and other collaboration platforms. Collaborate with network engineers to optimize
voice VLANs, PoE switching, and wireless voice deployments . Maintain documentation, policies, and procedures for Unified Communications. Provide technical leadership and support for voice-related projects and escalations.
Education & Experience Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of professional experience in
enterprise VoIP/Unified Communications .
Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities
Strong expertise in
Cisco Call Manager (CUCM), Unity, CUBE, and Mitel PBX . Hands-on experience with SIP trunking, SBCs, and VoIP security. Familiarity with Cisco/Meraki LAN/WAN environments supporting voice services. Working knowledge of monitoring tools such as SolarWinds and ThousandEyes. Relevant certifications (CCNP Collaboration, CCNA Collaboration, Mitel Specialist) highly desirable. Excellent troubleshooting and cross-team collaboration skills.
