Machine Learning/AI Software Developer

supporting the Test Operations and Sustainment contract at Arnold Air Force Base, TN. The person selected for this role will work closely with multidisciplinary work teams throughout the Beyond New Horizons (BNH) organization to identify opportunities and develop tools for leveraging data to drive decisions. The successful candidate will utilize Artificial Intelligence modeling techniques in support of test technique development, facility modeling for control automation and predictive maintenance, and other related tasks. Job Duties

Design, develop, and implement machine learning models and algorithms to solve specific problems Build and maintain scalable and robust machine learning pipelines for data ingestion, preprocessing, model training, evaluation, and deployment Utilize test data sources to optimize data analytics at AEDC and suggest ways which insights obtained might be used to inform testing sustainment and operational strategies Experiment with different machine learning techniques and algorithms to identify the most effective approaches for given problems and evaluate model performance using appropriate metrics and iterate on models to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability Utilize machine learning tools to select features, create, and optimize classifiers Identify and assess the effectiveness of data engineering, data sources and data gathering techniques Participate in AI proof-of-concept projects and experiments to explore new applications and technologies Coordinate with different multidisciplinary teams to implement models and monitor outcomes Define and develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy Stay up to date on the latest advancements in machine learning, artificial intelligence and related fields Identify and complete projects associated to data-engineering It is a condition of employment to wear company issued PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy Performs other related duties as required Basic Qualifications

B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or another relevant engineering field from an accredited college or university Note: This position is specifically for those with less than 5 years relevant experience post degree Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret level security clearance and access to the AEDC local area network Due to Air Force Security requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required for employment at AEDC Preferred Qualifications

1+ year hands-on coding experience in Python, C, Java, R, or other relevant languages designing, developing, and implementing machine learning models and algorithms 1+ year experience in software development building AI/ML products and applications using Generative Artificial Intelligence technologies such as RAG patterns, ReAct, LangChain, etc. For performing document summarization, knowledge graphs, information extraction, or analysis Masters in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or another relevant engineering field from an accredited university program Familiarity or experience with any/all of the following:

AI learning libraries and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, NumPy, or Scikit-learn Development lifecycle methodologies such as Agile DevSecOps Data extraction tools and processes, data ingestion, ETL, SQL, data mining, APIs and data warehousing Working with and creating AI architectures Cloud solutions such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud for building and deploying applications and cybersecurity principles as they apply to AI Containerization technologies like Docker or Singularity and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes
