Software Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with a strong background in writing spacecraft flight software using C and C++. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of professional experience in embedded software development, cross-compilation, and software/hardware integration. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain spacecraft flight software in C and C++. Integrate software with hardware, ensuring seamless functionality. Collaborate with teams to perform software/hardware testing and integration in Denver. Utilize embedded software development techniques to enhance system performance. Work with spacecraft sensors, including RGB and infrared cameras, lidars, and laser range finders. Implement and maintain software using NASA's flight software framework. Essential Skills: 8+ years of professional experience writing spacecraft flight software in C and C++. Proficiency in embedded software development and software/hardware integration. Proficiency with Rust, Python, Git, Docker, Linux, and either AWS or Azure. Experience with spacecraft sensors such as RGB and infrared cameras, lidars, and laser range finders. Familiarity with NASA flight software framework. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent-Resident Green-Card Holder). Availability for software/hardware testing and integration in Denver. Work Environment: This position offers a hybrid work environment based in South Denver. The role involves engaging in software/hardware testing and integration, requiring some on-site presence. Job Type & Location: This position is based out of Denver, Colorado. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $80.00/hr.
