This is an opportunity to join a global technology leader undergoing a major platform integration project, and to shape how security is embedded across next-generation infrastructure. We are a rapidly growing, product-led technology company investing heavily in its security architecture. This role calls for a proven, hands-on security engineer who can lead on design decisions, influence stakeholders, and deliver robust solutions in complex environments. Base pay range
$140,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr Responsibilities Design and implement network and infrastructure security controls; harden systems against emerging threats. This includes working with next-generation firewalls, IDS/IPS solutions, SIEM platforms, and endpoint protection technologies. Lead proactive threat hunting, risk assessments, and incident response; bring strategic thinking to hands-on technical challenges. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into platform and product initiatives; engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
What were looking for
Around 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong focus on network and infrastructure security Hands-on expertise with enterprise firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco) and IDS/IPS solutions Experience with endpoint detection and response tools (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Microsoft Defender) Familiarity with SIEM platforms such as Splunk or QRadar Knowledge of compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR) and threat models (MITRE ATT&CK) Proven ability to conduct risk assessments, threat hunting, and incident analysis Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, or equivalent vendor-specific credentials Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and influencing at multiple levels Location: Hybrid role based in North Austin; 23 days per week onsite
