Responsibilities

Administer and maintain Microsoft SQL Server (2014 and above), Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, and MySQL databases. Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient database architectures across hybrid environments. Provide 24/7 support for database systems, manage support queues, and ensure SLA compliance. Perform database provisioning, patching, upgrades, installations, and migrations. Monitor and optimize database performance using indexing strategies, query tuning, and diagnostic tools (e.g., SQL Profiler). Develop and maintain enterprise reports using Microsoft Reporting Services, Power BI, and Business Objects. Architect and support data warehouse solutions, including logical and physical database design. Automate routine database tasks using scripting and cloud-native tools (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Terraform). Conduct code reviews and contribute to database development efforts, ensuring adherence to best practices and performance standards. Mentor development teams on database design, query optimization, and secure coding practices. Apply SDLC principles and systems analysis to database administration and development tasks. Document database configurations, technical architecture, SLA tracking, RCA findings, and process workflows. Support documentation and reporting activities, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and consistency across technical and operational outputs. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and independently troubleshoot complex technical issues. Required Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in database administration, including SQL Server Application DBA responsibilities. At least 2 years of experience with cloud platforms (Azure, PostgreSQL, MySQL). Demonstrated expertise in hybrid database management (on-premises and cloud), SLA tracking and RCA documentation, performance tuning and query optimization, data warehousing and reporting, patch management and migrations, code review and database development, documentation and reporting best practices, automation and scripting, and technical documentation and cross-team communication. Preferred Certifications

PostgreSQL or MySQL vendor certifications (e.g., EDB, Oracle MySQL) ITIL Foundation or equivalent service management certification Minimum 3-7 years of professional experience as a SQL Server Application DBA Education

Degree in Computer /Electrical/Electronics Engineering Compensation

The expected salary range for this position is between $70,000 to $75,000 annually. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.
