Overview
A services organization in Colorado is seeking an experienced IT professional to join their staff in the Greater Denver area as a Network Engineer. Base pay range
$45.00/hr - $48.00/hr Hybrid onsite schedule: 4 days a week onsite. Responsibilities Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks Installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment, including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS, and DHCP Procuring network equipment and managing subcontractors involved with network installation Configuring firewalls, routing, and switching to maximize network efficiency and security Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting Arranging scheduled upgrades and investigating faults in the network Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases Reporting network status to key stakeholders Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications
3+ years of hands-on Network Engineering experience Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree Thorough understanding of DOCSIS and provisioning, including TR-143 Solid problem-solving and time management skills Great interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Strong attention to detail Highly organized
Desired Skills
Experience in CPE Testing Experience with a cable Multiple System Operator (MSO) or Internet Service Provider (ISP) Experience with IP routing, IP multicast, streaming video, wireless, Voice over IP (VoIP), and/or home networking Experience with automation, databases, scripting, and system administration
