UT/UTCD Integrity Engineer [Level 3] – Houston, TX Overview PIPECARE Group offers In-Line Inspection (ILI) services to identify and size pipeline threats using technologies such as Magnetic Flux Leakage, Transverse Field Inspection, Ultrasound, and specialized tools. For over 20 years, PIPECARE has helped customers ensure the integrity of pipeline and facility assets. We are seeking an experienced UT/UTCD Integrity Engineer [Level 3] to support our growth and work with project execution teams to deliver timely, accurate in-line inspection reporting tailored to customer needs.

Responsibilities

Work with project teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting of in-line inspection results using tailored reporting solutions.

Review customer requirement specifications and process in-line inspection data.

Identify pipeline features and anomalies within processed data sets and apply industry-accepted anomaly assessment criteria.

Ensure quality and accuracy of final results and compile results into concise, customized customer reports.

Check and approve tool performance during processing (PTT) and verify data quality of ILI runs.

Perform UTWM, UTCD, and EMAT data analyses as required.

Assist with dig verification tasks at sites and prepare relevant reports.

Review software interfaces and user manuals; contribute to DAD quality documentation.

Provide accurate tool sensitivity values in Tool Checklists and prepare run assessment reports.

Identify obstructions in pipelines and produce technically valid preliminary/final reports as applicable.

Coordinate results with HO-DAD and inform/implement results into reports; ensure coordinate synchronization with data.

Escalate software issues to R&D and DA Team Leader/Manager as appropriate; update documentation and quality procedures.

Perform additional tasks as requested by the DA Team Leader, DA Manager, or Executive Team within the assigned role.

Qualifications

Minimum 4-year technical or engineering degree from an accredited university (experience in ILI data analysis may be considered in lieu of education on a case-by-case basis).

Certification as ILI PQ LIII Integrity Engineer in UTWM, UTCD, EMAT, or ability to become certified.

Minimum 15 years of experience in the analysis of in-line inspection data.

Ability to learn proprietary software platforms; proficiency in Microsoft-based applications is essential.

Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.

Professional, detail-oriented, and committed to high-quality work.

Effective communication skills and ability to present to management and customers at all levels.

Job requirements

Ability to work for extended periods at computers/workstations in a stationary position.

Ability to pass vision acuity and color differentiation examinations.

Business travel may be required for training, meetings, site visits, and customer engagements (international travel may be required).

Ability to work flexible hours based on project needs.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure project success.

Physical and Mental Requirements

Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.

Mobility to walk and climb within refinery or plant environments and access elevated platforms via ladders and stairs.

Clear communication, adequate hearing, and overall good mental focus to perform duties.

Ability to multitask and maintain focus under pressure.

Willingness to wear safety equipment as required in manufacturing environments.

Ability to travel to off-site locations as needed with reasonable accommodations where applicable.
