Overview
Apex Systems is currently hiring for Cyber Security Engineer with a US Airforce Base based in McLean, VA. Project Details / Mission Supported: The resource will be responsible for supporting and administering of the following solutions: SCCM, McAfee EPO, McAfee Move, Tenable Nessus (ACAS), and LogRhythm for the Airforce Base. Responsibilities Support and administer the following security tools and platforms for the Airforce Base: SCCM, McAfee ePO, McAfee Move, Tenable Nessus (ACAS), and LogRhythm. Maintain Security+ CE (IAT II) certification and relevant qualifications. Ensure compliance with KR and DoD cyber security policies and procedures. Review IaaS software release notes and provide security-focused feedback for load approvals; draft and brief reports on cyber security status, findings, and remediation results. Review SIEM, Syslog, and other monitoring tools for security alerts, misconfigurations, or security-related events. Support Infrastructure Team members on security-related questions, product reviews, and security-related implementations to improve security posture. Configure and use security tools in Cloud and on-premises environments (examples include ACAS, HBSS, CloudWatch, LogRhythm, Microsoft System Center). Support Cloud and on-premises Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure security using best practices, vendor security documentation, DISA STIG guidance, and KR policies and procedures.
