The Senior Engineering Manager will provide both strategic leadership and technical direction for the Structural Engineering and Mechanical Design Engineering teams, ensuring alignment between project execution and the companys long-term goals. This role will establish and uphold engineering best practices, design standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, efficiency, and innovation. Duties and Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership and technical direction for the Structural Engineering and Mechanical Design Engineering departments. Establish and maintain engineering best practices, design standards, and continuous improvement initiatives. Manage department resources, budgets, and timelines to ensure successful project execution. Collaborate with project managers, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to ensure designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and meet schedule requirements. Oversee the design and analysis of large steel structures, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, ASTM standards, CPSI requirements, and customer specifications. Serve as the technical escalation point for complex engineering challenges. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, new materials, and emerging technologies relevant to the shade and play industry.

Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field; Masters degree preferred. 10+ years of engineering experience in structural and/or mechanical design of large steel fabricated structures. 5+ years in a leadership or management role overseeing engineering teams. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-disciplinary engineering design efforts from concept through production. Proficiency in CAD and 3D modeling tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Inventor, as well as engineering documentation tools. Strong understanding of structural analysis principles and experience with related software tools. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. Strong knowledge of ASTM standards, CPSI requirements, and applicable safety regulations preferred.
