Overview
Technical Sales Engineer at The Ksquare Group. Develops and maintains database applications. Focuses on data conversion and data integration supporting back-end processes, including developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting CDC, inter-environment, and inter-vendor RDBMS synchronization, SSIS, and data analysis. Creates scripts for data maintenance or bug fixes. Reviews, analyzes, and documents data and workflow processes. Creates and builds processes for creating mock data matching application required structures for repeatable test environments. Collaborates and communicates with other departments and outside vendors on technical issues. Assists with administrative maintenance of relational databases, including backup/recovery, schedule jobs, problem diagnosis and performance tuning. Implements data models and database designs. Assists in the resolution of database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues. Base pay range
$65.00/hr - $75.00/hr Responsibilities
Creates scripts and packages for data integration, synchronization, data maintenance, CDC, or bug fixes. Develops and maintains efficient, accurate, and secure database applications. Analyzes, defines, and documents system requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, interfaces with other systems, auditing, reporting requirements and production configuration. Provides technical consulting and responds to error reports, application performance issues, problems, or questions. Solves complex problems and takes a broad perspective to identify solutions. Leads projects and provides guidance to functional teams as needed. Responsible for administrative maintenance of relational database systems. Applies understanding of relational database concepts and query languages to design required summary or aggregation tables to support analysis. Writes and maintains functional and technical specifications. Interprets internal or external issues and recommends solutions/best practices. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge:
Data modeling and design principles; integration and synchronization techniques; database administration tasks (backup/recovery, scheduling, performance tuning); analysis and reporting tools; scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl); version control systems (e.g., Git). Skill:
Writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures; analysis and problem-solving; attention to detail and accuracy; managing multiple projects and priorities; identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving database issues; documenting technical processes and solutions. Ability:
Design and implement efficient database solutions; collaborate with other departments and vendors; remain up to date with new technologies and best practices; take initiative and ownership of projects; communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. Minimum Qualifications
Education:
BS in Engineering, Computer Science or similar Experience:
Minimum of six (6) years of experience in database development, including data conversion, integration, and synchronization. Experience with Oracle and MSSQL replication, Database Table Management, Stored Procedures, Documentation, Database Administration, Tuning, Research, Data Analysis, and Application Troubleshooting. T-SQL, CDC, SSIS, SSRS, SQL 2008/2012/2014/2016 and above. Certification/License:
