Apply Today!Job Summary and QualificationsOrganizes and coordinates the hospital volunteer programs. Develops and implements goals and objectives for the volunteer program which reflect the mission of the organization. Develops and implements effective strategies to recruit the right volunteers with the right skills. Orient volunteers to the organizational goals, policies and procedures, product lines and specific volunteer roles and responsibilities. Oversees day to day operations of volunteer services. Conduct quarterly meetings and provide ongoing communication to ensure volunteers are kept informed. However, this job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties the Associate may be required to perform, as other duties may be assigned if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment to the position.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Recruits retired adult, active adult, and summer (high school and college) volunteersInterviews potential volunteers and conducts adequate background checksOrients new volunteersEnsure volunteers are properly trained to the hospital and the tasks for which they are responsible.Identify volunteer assignments that provide meaningful work for volunteers.Assists departments in meeting their volunteer's needs.Assigns volunteers to assignments, which meet their qualifications.Monitors volunteers' quality of work.Greets volunteers on scheduled days.Maintain monthly schedule of volunteersMaintains database to capture volunteer demographics and hours of service.Plans and implements formal and informal recognition activities to recognize the contribution of volunteers to the organizationArranges special functions related to volunteer activities.Arranges hospital tours for outside nducts quarterly meetings and sends out electronic communications.Ensures updated files maintained for volunteers, to include:What qualifications you will need:Demonstrated supervisory experienceCollege degree preferred, or 5 years of experience in Volunteer Services.Knowledge of hospital volunteer programs.Medical City Lewisville is a full-service 190+ bed medical and surgical facility.
