We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled
Project Scheduler & Cost Controller
to join our team at K&A Engineering in
Augusta, Maine . In this role, you will work on exciting and challenging projects that make a real impact in the energy and utility sectors. Youll be part of a dynamic, people-focused team where your expertise, ideas, and contributions will be valued and celebrated. Responsibilities Produce a variety of regular and ad-hoc reports in support of project planning and control; work closely with all functional departments to ensure that policies, procedures, and standards are adhered to. Verify the accuracy of cost information, including proper coding and allocation to the project budget; produce required accounting and project cost reports; generate deviation, under-run, and over-run reports; prepare forecasts and cost trend reports; review and evaluate trends and their impact on project costs; monitor project costs against budget and forecast; maintain change control and change orders; assess progress measurement and develop/update progress curves; responsible for EVM during all project stages. Develop an Integrated Master Schedule according to customer standards and approved scheduling tool. Develop and evaluate activities in the Integrated Project Schedule, capturing work that can be completed in six-month look-ahead increments, including critical path work, work with less than two weeks float, and coordination with other projects. Develop project sequence/logic to accurately identify interrelationships of activities across disciplines and third-party involvement. Perform Current Schedule and Cost (EV, AC) vs. Performance Measurement Baseline, compare and highlight major activity deviations between the original baseline and current plan. Perform Critical Path Analysis and evaluate alternative scenarios to ensure on-time and on-budget project completion. Provide guidance to other project personnel on good scheduling practices and techniques. Coordinate Scheduler-Cost Controller activities with Portfolio planning and control goals; work under Manager Planning and Control for direction and oversight. Develop, implement, feed, reconcile and maintain project control databases and reports; reconcile program controls data with financial and performance systems; coordinate with Project Managers. Verify cost information accuracy and ensure proper coding and allocation; produce required accounting and project cost reports, including deviation and forecast reports; monitor cost trends and progress. Maintain change control and change orders; assess progress measurement and update progress curves. Responsible for EVM during all project stages.
What Were Looking For
Minimum 3 years of experience in Project Controlling and 4 years of experience in Construction Project Scheduling. Bachelors degree preferred. CAPM or PMI-SP Certificate or equivalent (requires Avangrid approval). SAP experience required. Primavera (preferred) and/or MS Project experience required. Experience in the functional area under which it will be contracted: Substations, T&D, Gas-Hydro and OSG.
Pay Range
