The Inventory Specialist is responsible for overseeing the ordering, storing, receiving, and distributing process of products and supplies. Main duties include controlling the flow of supplies and equipment and tracking and analyzing inventory maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and keep product UPC’s organized with descriptions and units of measurement on a daily basis. Set up new products SKU numbers as needed. Keep an update on products stocked in stores and at bin locations on a weekly basis. Update the “Do It Best” catalog. Perform product conversions for new acquisitions as needed. Control flows of equipment and supplies. Compile inventory reports. Forecast future inventory requirements. Update prices for both buying and selling on a daily basis. Load buying and selling prices for commodities (Lumber and sheet goods). Provide Bistrack problem solving and support as needed. Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications:
Five or more years of experience is preferred. Ability to analyze technical problems, determine root causes and develop remediation strategies for permanent resolutions. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to recommend changes to drive business objectives. Ability to assess situations to determine the importance, urgency, and risks, making clear decisions which are timely and in the best interests of the organization. Ability to maintain confidentiality of proprietary information. Basic computer skills, Product and Bistrack knowledge. Good organizational skills in order to take charge of organizing inventory and improving the efficiency of the selection and shipping process.
