Business Intelligence Developer Duration:
3+ month contract Location:
Seattle, WA Responsibilities include creating new data tables in VANS Redshift cluster to meet PM requirements, migrating data jobs to the new cluster, and developing new EDX jobs to extract relevant partner teams and customer order history data. Required skills:
Data modeling, ETL, and Data Warehousing experience (5+ years) or 2 years related Amazon experience; 4+ years of experience in data modeling and transformation of large-scale data sources. Preferred skills:
Experience with AWS and Big Data Platforms such as Spark/Hive/Hadoop; MPP databases like Redshift or Netezza; data processing with custom scripts; Python or similar languages; BI tools such as Tableau, MicroStrategy, Oracle BI, Pentaho; influencing software engineering practices. Soft Skills:
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with daily deliverables, focus on rapid delivery with 80% accuracy, adaptability to ambiguity, self-motivated, independent, goal-oriented, and good communication skills. Typical workday is from 9 to 5, with 40 hours per week. Overtime may be required as needed. There is a good possibility for extension and eventual conversion to FTE based on performance.
