Technical Lead / L3 Engineer Location:
Hopkinton, MA Duration:
6-12+ Months contract Job Description: Experience in Development and Escalation Engineering Storage domain. Working as an Escalation Engineer for Midrange Product line of EMC [AX, Clariion, VNX, and VNX2]. Support experience with maintenance and bug fixing. Storage knowledge, Windows or Linux expertise, and good problem-solving skills. Ability to read C++ code to perform RCA on customer issues. Extensive troubleshooting, triaging, debugging, lab reproductions, and resolution of escalated issues from field, support organizations, and customers. Debugging customer SAN configuration issues (FC, iSCSI, FCoE), analyzing switch logs (Brocade B-Series and Cisco switches). Preparing and delivering technical RCA reports for escalations. Crash dump debugging using Win debugger on Windows OS; escalating bugs and suggesting enhancements. Providing technical training and publishing knowledge base documents on bugs, features, and protocols. Awareness of Virtualization concepts. Key Assignments
Recovering mission-critical storage arrays from Data Unavailable situations using kernel traces within Flare OS. Debugging SAN configuration issues, reviewing SAN layouts, setting up test beds, analyzing traces, and ensuring resolution. Tracking Data Unavailable incidents, hosting daily meetings, and investigating product quality improvements. Languages and Technologies: C, C++, Perl, FC, iSCSI, TCP/IP, FCoE, SAS, storage tiering, RAID. Qualifications
Proficiency in C, C++, Perl, FC, iSCSI; familiarity with TCP/IP, FCoE, SAS; understanding storage tiering and RAID concepts. Additional Information
