This position is for an experienced senior engineer in the Microsoft Exchange,

Lync , and Office 365 technology space. This engineer will architect,

implement , and primarily support Unified Messaging and Exchange solutions. This role will also support strategic initiatives that move services from on-premise to

Office 365 . Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions Design, build, and implement conferencing solutions for On-Premises (Lync 2010) and Office 365 Multi-Tenant (Skype for Business). Interact with the team and internal customers to ensure service continuity and customer satisfaction. Develop operational models, processes, and procedures. Deliver technical project outputs related to messaging systems, including build diagrams and operational documentation. Collaborate with service owners and business leaders to recommend solutions for new business requirements. Provide Tier III support for Microsoft Platform technologies: Skype for Business Exchange 2013 Exchange Unified Messaging Active Directory Office 365 Technologies Troubleshoot IP-based faxing systems. Offer Tier III support for client systems. Qualifications

Typically 5-8 years of experience in related fields (e.g., Microsoft Platform technologies in large enterprises) or 3-5 years with an advanced degree. 5+ years of experience with Lync/Skype and Exchange systems. VoIP/telephony experience with solutions like Cisco and Avaya/Nortel, including PBX integration scenarios such as Skype Server handling voice communications and PSTN calls via third-party PBX, gateways, or SIP Trunk. Successful migration experience to the latest Skype for Business and Office 365 cloud services. Knowledge of routing and switching protocols, TCP/IP, QoS, VLANs, DNS, and WAN protocols related to voice technologies. Strong understanding of Windows Server 2012. Proficiency with PowerShell for managing Skype and Exchange. Experience in network captures and troubleshooting. Knowledge of load balancing solutions. Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Understanding of integrating Lync/Skype within Cisco IP telephony infrastructure like CUCM and Cisco Telepresence. Outstanding customer service, communication, and presentation skills. Experience in writing operational technical documentation. Willingness to participate in rotational escalation on-call duties.
