Job Title: Physician - Gastroenterology
The Jackson Division of Gastroenterology is seeking a dynamic Board Eligible/Certified Gastroenterologist with ERCP certification. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-looking GI hospital program, supported by a full staff in a vibrant community. The facility boasts a hospital-owned endoscopy center and an outpatient clinic conveniently located on the hospital campus.
Job Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care, including rounds and clinic visits.
- Participate in the growth of the practice and assist in one replacement hire.
- Manage an average of patients per day, with support from APPs in both clinic and hospital settings.
- Engage in teaching opportunities through the Graduate Medical Education (GME) program.
- Apply broad knowledge of gastroenterology to handle moderately complex assignments.
- Cooperate with the care team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
- Participate in on-call rotations with a 1:6 call ratio, including weekends.
- Board Eligible (must become Board Certified within a year) or Board Certified in Gastroenterology.
- Fellowship-trained in Gastroenterology, with a clean malpractice and license history.
- 5-8 years of relevant GI work experience preferred.
- Possess ERCP certification; consideration available for those requiring proctoring.
- Current COVID and flu vaccinations are mandatory.
- ITIL and/or PMP certifications are preferred.
- Current Michigan medical license or willingness to obtain one.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain.
- DEA and CSR/CDS certifications must be obtained prior to start date.
