A community health network in the Greater Austin suburbs is currently seeking a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) for a promising opportunity at one of their outpatient facilities.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule : Monday-Friday standard business hours
- Setting: Outpatient community health
Responsibilities:
The WHNP will:
- Conduct physical assessments and history-taking, both in-person and via telehealth or phone
- Perform age-appropriate screenings, addressing physiological, psychosocial, cultural, and emotional needs
- Insert/remove IUDs and Nexplanon, perform endometrial biopsies, manage pessaries, and educate on maintenance
- Participate in patient triage, including phone interactions, to help manage care flow
- Maintain records using EMR systems, support documentation in keeping with legal and organizational standards
- Respond effectively to emergencies, following practice protocols, documenting events, and escalating appropriately
- Provide patient education and advocacy across physical, cultural, spiritual, and emotional health needs
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Texas
