About The Position
Job Title: Float Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Pediatrics Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12.5 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: State RN License Certifications: Epic experience required Must-Have: Navy blue scrubs required Description: The Float Pool consists of nurses trained to work in all pediatric areas of the hospital. Nurses in this role may be assigned to the Neonatal ICU, Pediatric ICU, general pediatric floors, postpartum mother/baby, and the Pediatric Emergency Department. Assignments may be adjusted based on patient and staffing needs. Float nurses care for patients aged 0-21 years experiencing a range of conditions. These conditions may include prematurity, respiratory illness, trauma, sepsis, surgical interventions, neurological disorders, complex medical/surgical needs, and diabetic ketoacidosis. Candidates must have Epic experience and adhere to the dress code of navy blue scrubs.
